The good the bad and the potty..

So this week has been POTTY TRAINING WEEK..aka..The week of hell. I started potty training because we were home for a few days while Brynn was having an allergic reaction to her antibiotic...(It was so sad..she looked AWFUL). Anyway I thought it would be a good opportunity to just finally do it. She has done so GREAT! I thought..wow, this isn't so bad. She has been so good about going and tell me and Kory and hardly any accidents...until today....She has had about 3 today and one was not just her pee pee...it got EVERYWHERE! Talk about getting the dry heaves! Really I don't want to talk about it. Two steps forward and today..one step back...GRRRRR! Any advice is WELCOME! I'm doing the whole..go every 15 to 30 min. Get a treat if you go..ya know the usual..so if anyone has any advice PLEASE let me know! We only have so many pairs of ELMO panties!!

I am not looking forward to potty training. It sounds hard. It sounds like you are doing great. That is what most people do I am sure it is just hard at times.

My sister did the potty watch and her kids loved it. You just set it to go off and the music is great and it reminds them to go. Then they sing along as they are on the potty and you get a treat when its all done! Good luck! Can't wait to see you guys next week!

I know I talked to you today, but don't stress about it and it will come! I know that that's easier said then done because you just want her to be done, but when she's ready it will happen! It's hard for them to get it but she will eventually, and then you won't have to clean up anymore messes! Just let her move on her own pace! You're a great mom and Brynn is so sweet!

Grandpa (Russ) says: I guess I'll have to quit calling her "the little stinker butt!"

oh the joy of potty week. Hang in there it does get better. I had to do the whole 15 min thing for two days but they'll catch on. And they will always have accidents as they are still learning. I'm so glad that is over with but it won't take too long. Good luck.

Zoey was the same way, she did so good for so long and then she got sick and it went down hill from there. Some kids just start and stop and start and stop, its hard. Zoey is finally going all the time now.
I read a book where they say most kids arent usually potty trained until 8 months after they start.
