a la Las Vegas...

This is just a quick update about my new status in life....
THINGS ABOUT VEGAS I HAVE LEARNED IN A WEEK...
(this morning alone...)
*Ranks in the top 5 for most people getting shot..
*2nd highest Divorce rate...
Okay now thats out of the way...
*We have 2 channels, on a good day 3..(no cartoons)..sad sometimes at our house!
*No internet, just at the club house.
*People here are CRAZY drivers! Good thing I lived in Utah County for a little while!
*I have not dared to venture out on my own yet...not wanting to get lost with the girls
*Sometimes get a little paranoid about things
*Has A MILLION furnature stores and I have been to EVERY SINGLE FRINKING ONE!
*Members are scarce here..I must be looking in the wrong places...WHERE ARE YOU ALL??
*Our church is in Boulder City
*Went to Hoover Dam, on the HOTTEST and BUSIEST day of the year...Felt like the Grizzwolds
*Has been at least 100 Degrees since we got here ..give or take a few degrees
*This weekend the HEAT ADVISORY starts for the next 7 days...107 and up

NOW for the GOOD stuff..

*WE HAVE THE BEST POOLS, they are SO fun and NEVER busy
*We live in Henderson..the last sub-division before Boulder, Right by the BROWN mountian
*Its ALWAYS warm
*One of the BEST malls I have ever been to is just miles from my house
*There is ALWAYS something to do here
*Brynn thinks Vegas is the GREATEST place on Earth
*Kory is so patience with me, trying to teach me where everything is at
*love Henderson so far..the parts I have been to anyway, well most of them
*Get to eat LOTS of popcicles
*We get LOTS of family time and I LOVE every second of it!

I hope I can get used to this heat at night...cause thats definately NOT so great! I HATE being so hot when Im sleeping!
Okay Im done rambeling now...I will return some time...

I have 3 cousins who live in Henderson. I don't know if any of them are active though. Hmm, high divorce rate, I wonder why. :)
I hope you get the layout of the city soon. I am always lost and I hate it. I got a GPS for christmas and it is my new best friend. Enjoy your new adventure!

Jenny as soon as I am better and able to walk we are totally coming down to visit. You can show me all the great places you are finding and let us swim in your pool! So give me a couple of weeks and we are so there!

So... When can I come check out these pools you are talking about? I am in desperate need of a tan. I am so happy for you guys and I am glad you are safe. Call me sometime dudette and we will chat about life since it has been probably 2 years since I have last seen or talked to you. That literally makes me sick.

Im back....

I am the WORST blogger ever! We haven't had the Internet since we moved to Delta. So basically the last year has been CRAZY! After our last blog post we.... *Built a new home..(which ALMOST ended me and Kory's 6 year marriage) *Spent many summer days and the Rez and park. *Brynn started pre-school *Shayne developed her fun,sassy,aggressive,loud,funny personality *We celebrated our 6th year of marriage *Brynn's 5th year of life *Kory started his own heating and air business *Christmas And now here we are in 2012 and Shayne is about to turn 2. There was alot more in that year but I don't remember. We are loving our new house! It is so nice to have room to put things! Now for the kidlets... Brynn... Right now she is going through a phase. She wants to be in her "fancy" cloths ALL THE TIME. Not dress up cloths, her dressy cloths. She wants to wear the high hills she got for Christmas everyday. She wants her hair "down and curled." You know, when I woke up this morning I was laying in bed wondering what I was going to do today. Saturdays are pretty lonely now with Kory working all the time. Well lucky for me, I had a part of my morning already planned without even knowing it. What a wonderful day today..it's 10:22 and I have already had my 3 year old tell me.. "Mom, I am getting married today, and I also have my baby coming to my wedding"..(as she proceeds to stick her little belly out as far as it can go.) "I will go get ready." Wow. What a big piece of info to swallow,all in one sentence! After a prayer inside my head... 'Please don't let this moment be of things to come!' I decided we better get some photos of the BIG DAY!
